Chan Koh

He has extensive experiences in multidisciplinary learning, working and teaching. He has two Ph.D.s. These are Ph.D. in Economics from Seoul National University and Ph.D. in Electronic engineering from Kyung Hee University. His M.S. is in Computer Science from Yonsei University, and B.S. is in Mechanical Engineering from Kyung Hee University. He has a Certificate as a Professional Engineer(P.E.) in Information Systems Management from the Korean Ministry of Science and Technology. He served in the R.O.K Navy officer for 3.4 years for the development of war games software at the R.O.K. Navy Command & Staff College. He worked at Hyundai YH Co., Ltd. for one year as a car brake system engineer. Also, He worked at Daewoo Engineering Co., Ltd. for three years as a systems analyst and programmer. And He was a professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Seoul National University of Science & Technology, Seoul, Korea for 35 years from 1982. He was responsible for a Dean of College of ICT for two years from 2014.

He has many experiences in teaching in English for example, teaching courses in the Summer School at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Science in Finland since twelve years, in the Summer School at the City University of New York in the U.S.A. and in the Winter School at the Abu Dhabi University in United Arab Emirates. He gave many special lectures to thirteen universities in ten countries, such as U.S.A. Ireland, Finland, Japan, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Kazakhstan. Uzbekistan, Ethiopia. He has many experiences in social service area. He was a member of board of directors at the Korea Game Agency (2006-2009), a vice president at the society of digital policy and management (from 2004 to at present), a vice president at the society of convergence knowledge (from 2013 to at present), and a director of the society of digital contents (from 2014 to at present). His research and teaching areas are Computer Graphics, Game Engine Development, Game Programming, Business Intelligence, Management Information System, Data Science, Data Mining, Big Data Analysis, Software Architecture, Cloud Computing Platform. Papers published in recent 5 years; International Journal 2 papers, International Conference 3 papers, KSCI (Korea Science Citation Index) 19 papers, Korean Conference 92 papers.

Ok Cha Soh

Ok Cha Soh, Ph.D., is Professor of Columbia College teaching general Ed and psychology. Before coming to Columbia College, Dr. Soh worked as an associate professor, Dept. of Counseling Psychology, Washington Bible College, Lanham, MD, 1994- 2013. Afterwards she worked as a director of General Ed., Washington University of Virginia, VA, 2013-2014. Dr. Soh holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Union Institute & University, Cincinnati, Ohio, 2001. She earned two Master’s Degrees in the Theology of Missions from Capital Bible Seminary, 1993 and Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University, 1994. Dr. Soh is also passionate about social issues and non-profit sector and had served as the president of Washington Coalition for Comfort Women Issues, Inc. (WCCW) for 2001 to 2008, now serving as an advisor.

Lauren Hernandez

Lauren Hernandez holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Computing and Technology from Barry University in Miami, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Barry University, Miami. She has over twelve years of teaching experience. She spent 6 years teaching multilevel ESL to adults in Miami- Dade County Schools and 1 year as a Technology coordinator off-campus. Later, she worked as an adjunct instructor and lead faculty for the schools of Education in Ana. G. Mendez University, South Florida. Working in a bilingual university gave her the opportunity to continue improving her teaching skills to non-English speakers. She integrated technology into the curriculum and worked very closely with different LMS platforms such as Blackboard. She participated in the hiring process of the university. She has being a member of the T.O.T (Trainer of Trainers) training faculty in ExC-ELL (Expediting Comprehension for English Language Learners by Dr. Margarita Calderon.
Lauren enjoys painting in acrylic as well as speaking French and Spanish.

Dr. Hoo-Ballade has a dedicated consulting client base where she provides expertise in leadership development, research methods, quantitative methods, technical writing, and project management. She also provides training expertise in both governmental and private sector environments to enhance the leadership skills of top level and mid-level personnel. Dr. Hoo-Ballade specializes in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs to ensure that government programs and businesses meet their goals and objectives. Dr. Hoo-Ballade is a Director at TGTG, LLC and she was a contractor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. She was a Fellow Adviser to the New Teacher Project in Washington, D.C. and has been an Assessor for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

Sabah I. Chohan is Business Program Director and Academic Specialist at Columbia College, Tysons. She also serves as an adjunct business instructor at Columbia College. She holds her Master’s in Education and Master in Business Administration with concentration in management and educational leadership from Strayer University, VA and currently, enrolled as Ph.D. candidate in Educational Leadership at Columbia University Teacher’s College, NY. Ms. Chohan has over 12 years’ experience in higher education, curriculum development, academic program compliance, academic development and teaching Business Administration. Along all these responsibilities she also works with the United States Army as a Functional Academic Skill Training Instructor. Besides all the inspiring credential above, Ms. Chohan is a mom, and a wife, loves cooking, listening to music and communicating with students.

Donnette Yvette Williams

Donnette Yvette Williams

Donnette Yvette Williams is a Professor in Early Childhood Education at Columbia College. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education and also a PDS specialist for the Council of Recognition. She has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for the past 24 years including working as a Preschool Administrator for 9 years. Currently she teaches and also own and operate her own staffing company since 2011. She has a strong passion in Early Childhood Education and believes that children are a jewel and they are inquisitive about learning and growing. Throughout her years of being an educator, it is a proud moment of her life knowing and passionately desiring to impart knowledge into others to teach others is awesome, and she thoroughly enjoys it. Ms. Williams is born and raised in Washington, DC and currently resides in Alexandria, VA.

Natasha Thomas

Natasha Thomas

Instructor Natasha Thomas joins Columbia College as a Business Instructor in the Business management administration program. Prior to coming to Columbia College, she was a Business Instructor at Career Technical Institute in the medical office professional program. Natasha received her B.A. in Business Administration and MBA from Strayer University. Natasha is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in General business management at Capella University. Natasha’s teaching interests include operations management, marketing management, leadership and organizational behavior and business management theories. She has assisted with redesigning and redeveloping courses as a Business instructor at Columbia College and Career Technical Institute. Her primary research interests are in the field of business general management and leader-member exchange theory. Specifically, she is interested in researching Leadership communication methods concerning millennial employee relationship development in colleges in the United States. Natasha resides with her loving and supportive husband in Washington DC. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, biking and exploring the city for good vegan cuisine and entertainment.
