Antonio is originally from Senegal in Africa. He holds a BA in French pedagogy, a Master’s in TESOL and has over twenty years’ experience of teaching ESL in high schools and universities. He worked as a Director of Colleges in Maryland and in the state of Rhode Island. Antonio is a recipient of three “Teacher of the year” awards at schools and communities.

Yana finds a lot of joy in seeing her students succeed. Her students’ progress and confidence are the biggest drives in her teaching career. She enjoys giving interactive and challenging lessons and likes learning about each student’s unique interests and cultures. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Affairs from George Mason University.

Craig is a passionate and dedicated English instructor with 9 years’ teaching expertise. His language training career began in Seoul, South Korea in 2006 as a member of SLP faculty (Sogang Language Program) and expanded into private education program management in the Washington, DC area. He is an Illinois State Scholar, graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, certified TESOL instructor and 2 time recipient of “Teacher of the Year” awards and distinctions.

Alexandra has been teaching English as a second language for five years and she also teaches math and music. She has always had a passion for teaching and communicating with people. She was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Northern Virginia. She loves to learn about different cultures and has friends from all over the world. Learning from each other is the key to human advancement.

Rafed has a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Basrah in Iraq. He worked as a social worker, academic advisor, and as an ESL teacher for more than eight years. Rafed has published two translated books and one original book on the Passive Voice in George Orwell’s Animal Farm.

Shamima is a passionate instructor who loves and enjoys teaching. She genuinely cares about each and every student and puts a lot of effort into tutoring them one on one in her classroom. She believes in every student’s strengths, and she guides and motivates them to reach their full potential. She has been teaching for the past three years, and she finds her experience to be very rewarding.

Dr. Eric Franklin

Eric began teaching English in Puerto Rico while completing his B.A. in Spanish language and literature with a minor in Hispanic philology. He also holds an M.S. in TESOL. While teaching at Miami International University of Art & Design, he developed and taught curriculum in Intensive Developmental English. In 2008, he completed his doctoral studies in Educational leadership with a minor in technology, and taught computer courseware. Watching students succeed has always been his most rewarding accomplishment.

Noori has taught various age levels ranging from young children to working professionals since he started ESL teaching. In addition to teaching ESL internationally, Noori is excited to be a local ESL instructor in his hometown of Fairfax. He has always been fascinated with culture and is grateful to have the opportunity to meet and instruct students from all around the world. Aside from teaching ESL, he enjoys relaxing with his friends and discovering new endeavors to embark upon.

Christine is passionate about learning and teaching languages and enjoys meeting people from all over the world. She has been working in the ESL field since 2009 and she received her TESOL/TEFL certificate in Cusco, Peru. Christine often travels to South America, especially Colombia, which she considers her second home.

Lauren holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Computing and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Barry University. She has over twelve years of teaching experience. She spent six years teaching multilevel ESL to adults in Miami-Dade County Schools and one year as a technology coordinator. Later, she worked as an adjunct instructor and lead faculty for the School of Education in Ana. G. Mendez University. Working in a bilingual university gave her the opportunity to continue improving her teaching skills to non-English speakers.

An avid traveler and language learner, Leah has taught English conversation, business English and SAT preparation courses in Lima, Peru and in Shanghai and Guangzhou in the AP-in-China for over four years. She enjoys seeing her students’ energy and enthusiasm translate in the classroom through interactive and creative lessons. Leah holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia and is currently working on her MA in English Literature and Language at the University of Maryland.

Mackenzie Worn lived in Tampa, Florida off-and-on for the last 7 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa and her Masters in Linguistics/ TESOL from the University of South Florida. After she graduated from her undergrad, she moved to Karlsruhe, Germany for a year to live and work. She has also studied for a year in Rome, Italy during her 3rd year in undergrad. She enjoys working with college-age and adult ESL students the most because with this demographic she believes that they truly want to attend classes and learn English which makes her job even more gratifying!

Valeri Colon has over ten years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. She is a PhD candidate in Urban Services Leadership and she has a Master’s degree in Education (ESL concentration) and multiple certifications. She has taught a variety of English as a Second Language (ESL) topics to include academic language, business English, accent reduction and test preparation.

Howard came to the United States with my family in 1989.  Prior to his residency in the United States, he lived in Thailand and the Philippines.  He is presently taking courses from Georgia State University with a second doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education.  He has over 20 years of teaching experience.  He enjoys teaching and loves helping students to be successful and global learners.  He enjoys playing chess and tennis in his spare time.

Carlos is originally from Nicaragua. From a young age he has had a passion for languages and speaks Spanish, English, German and Portuguese. He has taught English in Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba and the U.S. He enjoys watching documentaries and he is a big soccer fan. He really enjoys being in a classroom with students makes.

Two years after coming back from Japan, she received her Master’s degree from SIT Graduate Institute. Recently, she is working as an instructor for international students in Washington, DC Area.
