Columbia College is offering variety of certificate programs.



Cosmetology program incorporates 1,500 hours of rigorous, practical, and technical training based on the most innovative curriculum in the industry. This program prepares students to become a beauty professional through hands-on training in hair and nail design, basic makeup artistry and product, retail and marketing strategy.

Culinary Arts

This program offers students to be a skilled culinarian in the immensely growing foodservice industry. Students learn basic knowledge, hand-on skills, and techniques demanded by the complex culinary industry through classroom instruction and laboratory classes for 1,022 hours in total.

Dental Laboratory Technology

This program is designed to prepare students for employment as dental laboratory technicians whose major task include construction and repair of all types of dental prosthetic appliances. Students are trained in the art of basic crown and bridge fabrication orthodontics. This program required a total of 1,200 hours.

Massage Therapy

This program prepares students for employment as professional massage therapists. It provides a solid knowledge base in the structure and function of the human body. Ethics, various theories and applications of therapeutic massage along with hands-on experience are also offered. It requires 600 hours in total.

Nurse Aide

This program provides essential core knowledge and practical skills that need to care patients in medical and/or health-care facilities. Students acquire understanding of common perception from medical terminology and abbreviations to legal and regulatory aspects of practice as a certified nurse aide. This is a 120-hour completion program including 40-hour externship through which students can obtain hands-on experience.

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

This program is composed of theoretical and practical training for prospective TESOL teachers. Students can acquire not only knowledge in language acquisition and teaching methods from theory classes but also essential experience through observations and teaching practicum during 120-hour completion.
