Step 2: Submit Required Documents
  • Application form
  • Copy of valid passport
  • Copy of high school or university transcript/diploma
  • Financial statement (minimum $20,000/year)
  • English language proficiency verified by Columbia College (through interview)
Step 3: Zoom Interview
  • After submission of the required $300 program fee, you will attend a Zoom interview scheduled by our International Students Office.
Step 4: DS-2019 Issuance
  • Once approved after interviews, Columbia College will issue Form DS-2019.
Step 5: Pay SEVIS Fee
  • Pay at fmjfee.com.
Step 6: Apply for J-1 Visa
  • Complete DS-160, upload photo, attend U.S. Embassy visa interview.
Step 7: Arrival & Orientation
  • Report to Columbia College, attend orientation, and begin your coursework.
