  March 12, 2017 – Daylight Savings Time Starts When local standard time is about to reach Sunday, March 12, 2017, 2:00:00 AM clocks are turned forward 1 hour to Sunday, March 12, 2017, 3:00:00 AM local daylight time instead Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on March 12, 2017 than the day before. There will be more light in the evening. Also called Spring Forward, Summer Time, and Daylight Savings Time

MoU with Changchun Guanghua University

On February 15th, Columbia College signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Changchun Guanghua University, a leading institution in Jilin Province, China to enable mutual recognition and cooperation between the two institutes. Dr. Richard Kim, President of Columbia College, and Dr. Qipeng Kang, President of Changchun Guanghua University, promised to develop and enhance collaboration between the colleges on ESL, Certificate program, Associate Degree program, J-1 Internship program, and Student Exchange & Credit Transfer Criteria.

Newseum Field Trip Photos

Columbia College’s Tysons, Centreville, and Silver Spring campus ESL students went on the Winter session field trip on January 23 through January, 25. Students enjoyed Newseum, the news museum while checking American and Worldwide news with many specially featured events there.

MoU with Dezhou Vocational and Technical College

On January 16th, Columbia College signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dezhou Vocational and Technical College, a leading vocational institution in Shandong Province, China to enable mutual recognition and cooperation between the two institutes. Dr. Richard Kim, President of Columbia College, and Mr. Guo Baoqing, President of Dezhou Vocational and Technical College, promised to develop and enhance collaboration between the colleges on ESL Language Training, J-1 Externship Program, and Exchange Student & Credit Tranfer.
