        Chang, sangmoon Vice president of Daegu Health College visited Columbia College on Jan. 28th. Director of foreign affairs Kim, Kyungyong and Nam, sangyong, a professor from dental lab technology were accompanied. Internship students from Daegu Health College were also delighted by the meeting with their professors. Daegu Health College and Columbia College had a meaningful time for the mutual cooperation in various programs for students. Thank you for visiting!

                                        On Friday, the first of February, 26 of ESL students went on a field trip to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. With guided tours, students enjoyed to see the House Chamber, the Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall. They also visited the museum, "Exhibition Hall" and touched the Capitol dome. Some of the students were excited to go to the Library of Congress.

Inova hospitals reported flu, this year, arrived sooner and more widespread. By the report, there are a lot of flu patients visiting their emergency rooms. The number of people who have reported to hospital emergency rooms in this area with Influenza-like-illness(ILI) in recent weeks is about three times higher than the number of people who typically show up in ERs with ILI symptoms throughout the year, according to an officer from public safety in Fairfax County. All Columbia College students and staff had a great Thanksgiving potluck party today! Special Thanks to Ms. Valerie for being Ms. Elizabeth Hopkins, a pilgrim, and sharing the story about her journey as well as Thanksgiving history, Ms. Mariel’s awesome presentation about the Thanksgiving food, last but not least, thank you for our great host Mr. Michael.
